Road Trip! Texas Microtia Meet & Greets

We traveled on a “Journey” to Dallas, Texas to host a Microtia Meet & Greet on November 9, 2018 at the U.S. Trust offices at The Star, world headquarters of The Dallas Cowboys football team. We presented on Porous Implant Ear Reconstruction (PIER), met individually with microtia families and 3D scanned ears! Families got to enjoy a private tour of the The Star as well as to attend the Texas Legends basketball “home opener”. Special thanks to our host family, Malcolm and Carey Farmer, for coordinating this amazing event; U.S. Trust, The Star, Texas Legends for their facilities and events; our post-op families (Gabby, Reagan, Anne) for sharing their experiences; Oscar Hernandez and Jennifer Lake of Cochlear Americas for educating families about Baha technology; and Dr. Tysha Powell of Frisco Hearing and Tinnitus Associates for talking with families about hearing loss. In addition, thank you to all of the microtia families that traveled from all over Texas, Alabama, Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma!

Since we were on an official “Road Trip”, we decided to make a few additional fun stops along the way with the Torrico family of Torrico Photography (our Earicles conference videographer/photographer), including the Magnolia Silos and bakery! Yummm….
