A few weeks ago I attended the Colorado and California Microtia-Atresia Picnics that were hosted by members of Ear Community…and what a wonderful experience that was! It was such a pleasure to finally meet Melissa Tumblin, who has worked tirelessly to help and to educate families and physicians about microtia and atresia. I wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation to all of my patients and their families who joined us at the picnics…what a great surprise for me to see all of you there!!! I am always so touched by how much people dealing with microtia want to help others in the same situation. Finally, a huge thank you all of the parents, companies and local businesses who supported the effort to make these picnics such a wonderful success. I will look forward to coming to more of these events in the future.
