As a microtia surgeon, Dr. Lewin firmly believes it is critical to be TRANSPARENT with surgical outcomes – NOT TO HIDE the scars, asymmetry and “imperfections” with special lighting, low quality far away images, or showing only the “best” view of the ears. All patients are shown from multiple angles of both ears and, whenever possible, a 360 degree video of the entire head is shown so the new ear can be accurately evaluated.
